Born and raised in Southern California, Rabbi Aaron Shaffier began studying to be a Sofer in Israel when he was 18 years old. He received his certificate to write as well as inspect STAM from Rabbi Yaroslavski (head of the Chabad Beit Din in Israel). Rabbi Shaffier served as an apprentice under Rabbi Sholom Elishevitz in Brooklyn, NY.  He served as the main Sofer for Chabad's Mezuzah Champaign in New York from 1999-2001.  He moved to Los Angeles with his wife and children in 2001 to serve as a Sofer to the Jewish community in California. In 2003, Rabbi Shaffier opened Mezuzah Gallery to further serve the Jewish community in California. Shortly afterwards, he started his websites: www.MezuzahStore.com and www.TorahScrolls.net, to reach out to the larger Jewish community. In 2007, Rabbi Shaffier and family moved to Israel.  This allows him to be more closely involved in the production end of the Torah scrolls, Tefillin and Mezuzah which are sold on our websites and in our store in Los Angeles. Rabbi Shaffier is also a licensed tour guide in Israel specializing in Jewish Tours of Israel
